A reference package is a package you cannot edit in your model. You can use it to add links to and from classes within it.

Sometimes, you may want to escape this restriction and adopt the package to become a copy that you own in your model. Choose to adopt a package in Import/Export.

After this, you are free to change the package in your model, but it will not update if the original source is updated.
